Introducing Ride Director

Every cyclist knows the feeling. You’re 30 minutes into a ride, pushing through a segment you’ve ridden dozens of times, and you have no idea if you’re faster or slower than last week. Your phone is in your pocket. Your eyes are on the road. The only feedback is your own breathing.

Running has Nike Run Club whispering splits in your ear. The gym has Peloton shouting encouragement. Cycling has… silence. Or Spotify.

The ear is the only idle interaction channel while cycling. We built Ride Director to fill it — not with noise, but with the right information at the right time.

What We Built

Ride Director is an AI sports commentator for cycling. It narrates your ride through AirPods like a live sporting event.

In a typical 45-minute ride, the AI speaks for approximately 19 seconds total. That’s less than 1% of your ride time. Silence is the product.

When the AI does speak, it sounds like this:

• “8 seconds faster than last week.”
• “On pace for a new PR.”
• “New PR. 4:17.”
• “Team split. Lee 120m behind.”

No cheering. No coaching. Facts, delivered in the voice of a sports commentator.

Three Layers

Broadcast Mode — Solo AI commentary from day one. No setup, no friends needed. Just you, your route, and a commentator who knows your history.

Ghost Race — Race against your past self or challenge a friend with a single link. Asynchronous competition that works on any schedule.

Team Radio — Squeeze your AirPods to talk. AI tracks everyone’s position and keeps the group connected. The weakest rider never gets left behind.
